father's day

This year I was so proud to have my very first fathers day with my little mijo. Nathan and I had some time just the two of us in the morning then got to go to church together and worship with Sonicflood! After church we went back home and had a bbq for the family to celebrate all the dad's. (thanks to erick for the incredible bbq as always. the tri tip and chicken were sooooo good). It is such a blessing and incredible responsibility to be a father and it is by far and away the most important thing I will ever do. I intend on being the best dad that my mijo deserves. I thank God for him and am so proud to be his daddy. Thanks to all the dad's out there for all you do.

baptisms and birthdays

Last weekend Nathan and I were able to attend the baptism and birthday party for Nathan's cousin Melony. It was a very nice event and we were proud to be able to be there at the start of Melony's path with God. It was great for us to be able to visit with all our family.

meals with nathan

Nathan has come to seriously enjoy his food. I thought I'd share a typical meal and the steps he uses to eat.

Nathan locks eyes with his food

Nathan gets pretty excited he will soon have the food

Nathan calmly inspects his meal

He realizes that he can get the food in his mouth faster by more direct means

Now that the rice is all over the tray he may eat it piece by piece

lowes

tonight nathan and I had to make a stop at lowes to pick up just one small thing. well as sometimes happens with boys at lowes we started to look around at what other cool stuff we were missing out on. this fountain was calling nathan's name. good thing he's had swim lessons.

ms. emily wagner

Over the last few weeks I've had a chance to spend some time with my baby cousin Emily Lucinda. Although Nathan hasn't been able to make it to Fresno with me he asked that I share these pics anyway. Emily Lucinda has the ability to be completely adorable and totally serious at the same time! She balanaces it well.

bubbles!

Nathan loves him some bubbles. We got a bubble machine recently so that he could go crazy. He has a blast with them.

handy manny

Nathan LOVES Handy Manny. He and I watch it anytime we can and he loves his new little stuffed version.

bulding the foundation

Over the last few weeks our church (Visalia First Assembly) has been proposing to build a new worship center. This is the only church Nathan has ever attended and he loves it! As they discuss building a new larger worship center we have become really excited as we fully expect this to continue to be Nathan's home church. During a service recently Pastor Mike invited the congregation to take small stones they provided and write the names of those here and yet to come that we would like to be saved. These stones would then be collected and placed literally in the foundation of the new worship center's altar so that we may pray over them.

Nathan and I completed our stone and placed it with the others. A nearby photographer snapped a quick picture of us. The next week on our way into church we were excited and surprised to see a beautiful framed photo of us. We just thought we'd share.

tia marissa

Nathan and I have been lucky enough to be able to attend some baseball games for my sister Gianna and nephew Ian. While we at a game recently Nathan didn't like a call made by the umpire and started to march towards the field to protest. Thankfully his Tia Marissa was there to hold him back.

target

so one of the things Nathan and I love to do is hit up Target. As you can see he was pretty excited too.
